Galway City Festivals
Galway Arts Festival:
This is Ireland’s largest and most prestigious arts festival. The programme includes Theatre & Dance, Talks, Visual Arts, Music, Comedy, Children & Street Events. It takes place mid-July.
Galway Racing Festival:
This Summer event is the biggest and liveliest of all Irish horse-racing festivals. It commences on the last Monday of July and continues for 7 days. Other racing festivals are held in September and October.
Oyster Festival:
Galway City is famous for its seafood. This internationally renowned festival takes place each year on the third weekend of September and attracts tourists worldwide.
